By default, on this Sharp models, the USB port is disabled. You must to enter in simulation mode to enable it.
Enter in simulation mode:
Go to sim. 26-50 (press 26, ok, 50, ok), select “G: USB DEVICE” with the down arroow, press 1, press OK and home button to exit.
